I sent the pictures you sent to us to Curt to see if they had any insight and they had not seen that brace before. They said that it looked like an aftermarket frame brace. They said most likely if you returned the vehicle back to stock and removed the brace you'd be fine, but they hadn't tested it so they couldn't guarantee that. You have to make sure the bike rack is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. Generally, most roof racks are going to impede the operation of a sunroof unless it retracts directly under/into the roof panel. Additionally, manufacturers don't typically test for this when fitting and also do not recommend opening the sunroof with the bars attached because of the amount of wind noise that occurs with the crossbars attached.
